The wear-resistant layer is mainly composed of chromium alloy, with additional alloying elements such as manganese, molybdenum, niobium, and nickel. In the metallographic structure, carbides are distributed in a fibrous manner, with the fiber direction perpendicular to the surface. The microhardness of the carbides can reach HV1700-2000 or higher, and the surface hardness can reach HRC58-62. The alloy carbides have strong stability at high temperatures, maintaining high hardness, and also exhibit excellent oxidation resistance, enabling them to function perfectly at temperatures up to 500°C.
